The architectural competition for the design of the new terminal for Latvian airline airBaltic at Riga International Airport in Latvia is going into its final round: 125 entries from more than seventy countries from around the world have been received and are currently being reviewed by an international jury. Until the final winner has been declared, airBaltic has now invited the public to pick their favorite from the ten best projects. Votes can be cast online until November 5 on the airline's blog.

Wow, that vote count can't be legitimate. The worst schemes by far are getting the majority of votes.....

I voted for #2, the best scheme out of the bunch by some measure, but unfortunately all votes are going to #10 and some others, which is pretty bad in my estimation.

There has been no word regarding the competition result from Airbaltic, what's going on? It seems that as usual, there is a substantial amount of funny business going on behind the scenes in this one, and even though ARUP UK managed the competition on behalf of Airbaltic, the funny business persists.
