Eight leading firms have been selected to receive the Architectural League’s prestigious annual Emerging Voices award, which spotlights individuals and firms with a distinct design “voice” that has the potential to influence the discipline of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design. They will speak in a series of lectures in March 2011.
Since 1982, the juried series has featured architects and designers from throughout North America who have a significant body of realized work that not only represents the best of its kind, but also creatively addresses larger issues of architecture, landscape, and the built environment. In addition to presenting lectures, this year’s Emerging Voices will be featured in podcast interviews and lecture excerpts on the League’s website as well as additional content that highlights their work and design approach. Emerging Voices is generously supported by Maharam and the Next Generation Fund of the Architectural League.
