Casua Wins Competition for Stadium and Shopping Center in Czech Republic

Prague based architecture firm Casua wins private tender promoted by the company ECE, amongst 6 other architecture practices, for the development of a Sports and Leisure Centre in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic.

Part of the Park Malšovice will be a mixed-use arena with a capacity of 10.000 seats (possibility expanding to 14.000) comprising a training area, Arkády Hradec Králové Commercial Centre, a park with plenty of leisure activities by the river Orlice, a hotel, restaurants, coffee shops, sports areas for practicing squash and fitness. There will also be included an Aqua Park developed by the City Council.

In the project’s first stage, Casua worked in partnership with the Portuguese member of Equator European Architects - Miguel Saraiva & Associates, and with Consultants for the regulations of FIFA/UEFA from Sweden - Mr. Stellan Holmstrom and Robert Hernadi (Stockholm’s National Stadium). Alongside both stages of the project development, Czech expert in football Stadiums - Mr. Dráb, gave Consultancy for the football arena.

little sports - lots of leisure as it seems ... when will this country be ready for architecture rather than the need to just built whatever ... and yes, I love car park renderings at dawn ... meadows with magazine cutouts and undefined views back into town
