Ideasforward — the creators of the 24H Competition — looks further out into the future in their newest competition, The Imaginary World of Harry Smith. The competition is set up like a comic webseries with four episodes. Set in an imaginary world where anything is possible, each episode will explore a different theme that relates to the city of the future, and will include its own competition brief. The early registration period is open now until September 15. Participants worldwide can sign up as an individual or as a group.
The competition jury features Romullo Baratto Fontenelle (ArchDaily Brazil, Editor); Manuel Henriques (Executive Director at Lisbon Architecture Triennale); Berrin Chatzi Chousein (Editor in Chief at World Architecture Community); and last but not least, Bustler's very own Editor-in-Chief Alexander Walter and writer Justine Testado.

Episode 1 Framework (excerpt):
"One of the big problems we face today has to do with the overuse of the [land] mass through the construction and the consequent increase of city boundaries. Man ceased to respect nature to just focus on the economic aspects through a rapid enrichment...
'Levi - The Suspended City' is the first of four episodes that we intend to build on the concept of buildings cities. The optimization of the city in the building for the benefit of nature and the environment...We want to think of new dynamics of trade relationship between housing and services, making a reflection of the city inside the building and bridging the needs of contemporary societies. We seek dynamic new movement, integration and relationship between all parties, adapting the building to current and future requirements.
So we wanted to go further and imagine that the building can take the place of the city. To do this you must also rethink how we organize ourselves in society. This exercise aims [to] rethink cities and societies of the future."
Early registration is open now until September 15 at 11:59 p.m. (London GMT). Fee is €35.
