2008 Scottish Design Awards Results Announced

The Scottish Design Award’s results were revealed on Friday 16 May at The Corn Exchange, Edinburgh. Over 530 architects and designers attended this event. Twenty-seven trophies were awarded to those who met the high standard set by the judges.

Professor Andy MacMillan received a Lifetime Achievement Award, with The Architecture Grand Prix being awarded to Reiach and Hall Architects for Pier Arts Centre, Stromness.  Neil Gillespie of Reiach and Hall also received the Architect of the Year Award.  Luke Thurman of Glasgow based jm architects was awarded the Emerging Architect accolade.
