The anticipated 2015 World Architecture Festival is returning to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on November 4-6. WAF is unique in that anyone can apply to the competition and have a chance to win. Additionally, event attendees can witness architecture teams present their projects and then listen to the jury's critical responses. The 2015 WAF ‘super jurors’ include: Royal Gold Medallist Sir Peter Cook (UK), Sou Fujimoto (Japan), Benedetta Tagliabue (Spain), Charles Jencks (UK/US), Kerry Hill (Singapore) and Manuelle Gautrand (France).
As expected, competition is as fierce yet inspiring as ever. This year's shortlist includes 331 projects from both world-renowned and emerging architecture practices representing 46 countries. Practices and projects based in the United States have a notable presence in the list, with 23 U.S. projects in the running for the coveted top prize, World Building of the Year 2015.
