Established in 1868 in the traditions of Colonial Clubs in India, Bangalore Club is one of the oldest and the foremost clubs in the country. Originally known as the Bangalore United Services (BUS) Club, it served British Officers from the Army and Navy Barracks in the Cantonment side of Old Bangalore. The club was renamed the Bangalore Club in 1946 and opened to civilian membership. Today, the 10 Acre campus lies in the heart of Bangalore City, and is an oasis of green with over 50 varieties of plants and trees.
In order to prepare for the demands of future growth, the Bangalore Club would like to invite Architects, Urban Designers and Architecture & Urban Design firms to design an inclusive master-plan for the Club. Interested design professionals and firms can download the Expression of Interest from the official site of the club at www.bangaloreclub.com between Dec 15th and Dec 25th 2012 for further details.
