On Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, Architecture for Humanity New York is celebrating social impact, gorgeous design, and an amazing community of firms throughout New York City.
We invite AEC firms throughout the metro region to join us for a holiday event, which will celebrate the chapter's accomplishments throughout 2014 and prepare for the exciting year ahead. Festivities will include a firm vs. firm gingerbread house design competition, a raffle, seasonal refreshments, and more.
Unlike other gingerbread competitions, the evening’s teams will compete to develop models of landmark homes of the last century. We encourage firms to participate in this opportunity by sending five design professionals that demonstrate guts, out of the box model-making skills, and an appreciation for the important relationship between long-term social impact and truly beautiful design.
Participating firms will receive ten tickets to the event, widespread acknowledgement in the promotion of the event and during the event itself, as well as the opportunity to compete in the gingerbread competition. The winner of this competition will receive naming rights to an exciting project by Architecture for Humanity New York in 2015, the details of which will be announced on Giving Tuesday. A donation of $500 to Architecture for Humanity New York is required for participation at this level.
Contact Erika Benson, Director of Development, by November 25th at [email protected] to learn more about this opportunity and other ways to be involved with Architecture for Humanity New York. Register for the party as an individual, and learn even more about the chapter, by visiting afhny.org.
