“Art in Architecture” intends to generate ideas about the relationship and interaction between the two.  The thematic goal is to seek images about architecture as a repository for art, revealing how art is expressed in architecture, and how art and architecture affect and are affected by each other.  In focusing on the capacity of art and architecture to be transcendent, this exhibition will add special voice to the current debate between the ‘container’ and the ‘contents’ that has been taking place across the globe.  This is an open competition; individuals and groups are eligible.  Jurors: Michael Graves, Architect, FAIA; James Christen Steward, PhD., Director of the Art Museum at Princeton University and Sassona Norton, Sculptor.  Prospectus and application may be downloaded at http://www.somersetart.org.  Click Exhibit Opportunities.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MAY 3, 2010.
