Call for Papers and Demos
The scope of the conference is the design of products, systems and services with a focus on the meanings conveyed by their forms and behaviors. After four successful workshops in the Europe, DeSForM 2009 comes to Asia and creates an international platform where researchers and practitioners across different cultures can share findings and insights about the aesthetics and meanings of human-object interactions.
There will be room for 20 full paper and 20 demo proposals. Full papers are max 20 pages, demo proposals are max 5 pages. The workshop proceedings will be published both online and in print. Accepted demos will be exhibited on the conference site and in an online gallery.

DeSForM 2009 invites contributions fall within the following themes and topics:

3. Practice-based research and case studies:
* Using movement as a mediator
* Appropriation of the everyday
* Effects of context on meanings
* New typologies and ecologies of objects
* Dependencies between form and movement
