The municipality of Villaputzu is organising an open international competition for the design of a museum and auxiliary spaces within an archaeological area, by converting two existing watering tanks and attached facilities. The new building will contain facilities for exhibitions, collections, representation functions, offices, as well as a bookshop with auxiliary spaces.
The purpose of the competition is to find for the two existing watering tanks an implementation solution which is compatible with its unique natural, cultural and archaeological environment and which achieves a balance between the stated aesthetic, functional, technical and economic targets while adhering to the principles of sustainable development.
