By use of the restrictive procedure contained in the Public Contracts Regulations 2006, CfGP wishes to identify an architect or team of architects to design and deliver Phase 1b of the regeneration programme. This Phase involves the demolition of over 200 homes and the construction of circa 600 homes (the majority for sale), 2000 m2 of shops, a library, community centre and housing office, a public square/hub, a small park and play area (4000 m2) and the relocation of a road and its establishment as a boulevard. This is the gateway location for the regeneration scheme and sales values from the properties are critical for cross-funding into the overall regeneration programme. CfGP aims for some landmark buildings in this location and it will be the hub of activity for the area.
