Up-and-coming designers can now once again enter the annual competition for the Mia Seeger Prize. The deadline for submissions is June 5, 2009. And the awards offer prize money totaling a full €10,000.

The Mia Seeger Stiftung looks for concepts and product designs which take interpersonal relationships as their theme. Alongside criteria such as innovation and environmental soundness, the works are also judged above all on their social function.

The competition is geared towards graduates of German universities from the fields of industrial and product design, interior design, furniture design, architecture and transportation design who completed their studies in 2007 or later.

The works winning the Mia Seeger Prizes will be published in a yearbook together with the winners of the Internationaler Designpreis Baden-Württemberg and presented in an exhibition in Ludwigsburg lasting several weeks.
