QUEENS WHARF

Register/Submit Deadline:  Saturday, Sep 12, 200912 AMEDT

Queens Wharf ‘Opening the Red Gates’ Competition

The development of Queens Wharf is part of a long term plan to turn Auckland’s waterfront into a vibrant and interesting place for people to use and enjoy, as well as better serve the tourism sector.

Key objectives for Queens Wharf include developing it as an effective and enjoyable open space for the people of Auckland and New Zealand, as well as providing a new primary terminal to support the projected growth of the cruise ship industry. Queens Wharf has also been earmarked as a place for public celebration and enjoyment of Rugby World Cup 2011.

If you would like to prepare and submit a design for the development of Queens Wharf, working to specific requirements, then you need to download our briefing documents. You can download all the key information that you’ll need from this page, following a short registration process.

If you simply have a thought or an idea and wish to share that with us without formally entering a design that meets the requirements of our brief, you can submit an idea.
