What’s small and made of wood? The modern sustainable building, that’s what!

The Sustainable Versatility Design Awards is a NO FEE design contest for students currently enrolled in an accredited architecture program to design a modern sustainable structure featuring Eastern White Pine. Feature the use of Eastern White Pine (pinus stobus) as part of a sustainable modern structure.

We’re looking for dialogue inspiring, future-predicting, forward-thinking designs. Help us imagine a more sustainable future while featuring Eastern White Pine.

  1. Project must prominently feature Eastern White Pine on interior or exterior of building.
  2. Building must be a free-standing structure (home, backyard office, in-law apartment, design studio, etc.).
  3. 600 SF max.
  4. Include other features increasing the sustainability/efficiency of the structure.
