The Fondation des Amis de Médecins du Monde is pleased to invite architecture and design students living in France and the United Kingdom to take part in its Architecture & Design Competition on homelessness. Contestants should consider new ways to address the issue of homelessness with architecture and design, in a socially and environmentally sustainable way.
At the end of the competition, the creation of the winning project on a large scale and its production could be suggested to partners of the Fondation des Amis de Médecins du Monde.
ROUND 1 SUBMISSION:
- one board in A1 format
- a presentation in 250 to 500 words
ROUND 1 DEADLINE :
30th October 2015
JURY
chaired by Richard Rogers, Royal Gold Medal of Architecture and Pritzker Prize winning architect, co-funding trustee of Doctors of the World UK. The panel will consist of architecture, design, solidarity and humanitarian health professionals including:
• Dr Camillo Boano: Architect, urbanist and senior lecturer at University College London
• Matali Crasset: Industrial designer, matali crasset productions
• Dr Françoise Sivignon: President of Médecins du Monde
• Tudor Zamfirescu-Zega: Architect, founder of Plateforma
1st PRIZE > 2,500 €
2nd PRIZE > 1,500 €
3rd PRIZE > 1,000 €
