Moscow is looking to strengthen child-friendly infrastructure in the city and add diversity to the existing facilities by responding to the needs of families and investing smartly.
A leafy corner of Gorky Park, in the centre of the city, is currently being transformed into a dynamic complex for child-focused learning, development and innovation. Moscow is looking for excellent solutions to help inspire the concept, programme and components of this child-centred development. The solutions will also be considered for other developments across the city.
The Gorky Park complex is aimed at children of all ages as well as their parents and carers. The different spaces and programmes will encourage imaginative play, sports and experimentation as well as enhancing the educational and social experience of families. Children with special needs will be wholly integrated into the programmes and will have full access to the space.
The dedicated space in Gorky Park for creating this child-friendly environment (12,320m²) is an open territory with trees and shrubs and several renovated buildings. There is an existing Green School as well as a multi-purpose building (2,500m²), where many of the courses, workshops and programmes will take place (see the attached document).
Gorky Park is interested in diverse elements to enhance the use of this complex - including after-school clubs, infrastructures, parenting classes, catering concepts, technology, gardening, summer schools and festivals – all inspirational components for this child-centred complex are welcome.
Selected solutions to be promoted to the growing market in Moscow and will be networked with potential local partners by MIDC.
