This is a contest open to all undergraduate students. You must design a “Garage Venue” for student rock bands. This venue can take the form of a student bar, coffee house or any other idea you might have for a performance center. The location can be anywhere on your college’s campus. You may include as many rooms/spaces as you like, but the venue may not exceed 3,000 square feet. Please see the website for all information on the rules and prize information in this contest.
You may enter in as a team, which may contain no more than four members. Entry is limited to 100 teams, so sign up today!
Your presence is required at the final review, which will be held at Tufts University. If you enter as a team, only the team leader is required to attend but the entire team is encouraged to attend.
The final review procedure will be determined on January 1.
The basic procedure will most likely consist of two rounds (this is dependent on the number of entrants). The first round will consist of the judges viewing all work. They will select a certain percentage of entrants for the final review. For this reason, you will be given an identification number and all your work must be labeled with this number to ensure that the judges are unaware of whose work they are evaluating. The second round is the final review in which the top finishers will present their projects to the judges within a time constraint.
