The Department of Architecture at Ferrara University, Italy, during these years has been involved in international seminars, courses and activities concerning the sustainable architecture such as the International Prize for Sustainable Architecture, now in its eleventh edition.
The main aim of the award is to promote architectures that is are in greater harmony with the environment and designed for the needs of man, capable of satisfying the needs of our generations without limiting those the future, and to share with a large public the results of the research in the architecture field.
The Prize has involved during the years almost 1000 built projects in more than 30 countries of the five continents.
Moreover the International Jury has been composed by prestigious and very well-known members coming from all over the world.
For the 2015 eleventh edition, jury members are going to be:
Thomas Herzog (Chairman) – Munich / Germany
Muck Petzet – Mendrisio / Switzerland
Philippe Samyn – Brussel / Belgium
Roberto Di Giulio – Director, Department of Architecture, University of Ferrara (Italy)
Gianluca Frediani – Professor, Department of Architecture, University of Ferrara (Italy)
Deadline for on-line registration (www.premioarchitettura.it) is December 31st 2014 while the deadline for materials delivery is January 31st 2015.
