Lisbon Triennale Millennium BCP Début Award

Around the world, emerging architects are furthering the discipline through innovative, experimental, thought-provoking work. The Lisbon Triennale Millennium BCP Début Award celebrates the achievements and encourages the career of these promising younger generations of architects, offering a prize of 5,000 euros. Solo practitioners and studios under 35 are eligible for the Début Award and can apply at www.close-closer.com. Architecture aficionados all over the world are welcome to nominate their practitioners of choice by sending an email with their name and website to [email protected]. A shortlist of candidates will also be proposed to the Jury by a list of invited nominators, composed of leading figures in the contemporary creative panorama.
The deadline for applications and nominations is 21 June 2013.

The winner will be announced in an official ceremony as part of the Close, Closer Opening Week calendar of events (12-15 Sep).

This is the first edition of the Début Award which, in conjunction with the Triennale Millennium BCP Universities Award Competition (announced last March 15) and the Lifetime Achievement Award (to be announced this September) signal the Triennale’s commitment to excellence at all stages of an architect’s career.
