NAAM is an architecture and design magazine edited and published by architecture students at University of Tehran. For our forthcoming issue, NAAM is looking for speculative and innovative pieces from students, faculty and professionals in architecture and design fields. The theme is open to interpretation and we appreciate submissions in all formats, including, but not limited to: essays, interviews, articles, short stories, projects, infographics, illustrations, comics, photos.
'On the Edge of Architecture'
Everyday, we are walking, breathing and - simply put - living in architecture. The question rises: 'Is Architecture as real as it seems ?... Or does the reality end somewhere around an 'edge'?!'
NAAM is searching for the edge of architecture; where fantasy begins. There is an extremely thin line, yet an inevitable connection between avant-garde design and pure fantasy. Many state-of-the-art designs have emerged from taking a fantasy serious, while many other innovative designs have led to wild fantasies (i.e. the massive geodesic dome to cap New York).
For this issue, we consider fantasy as a good friend of architecture and design. We want to hear about your opinions, investigations, projects and fantasies!
