POSEIDON 2009: Yacht Club & Beach

THE CHALLENGE
The real estate developers’ interest in creating an International Architecture Competition lies in the need to create an innovative concept as an alternative to the typical beach community. POSEIDON Investment S.A. and RODRIGO & ASOCIADOS would like to see this new concept provide their clients with a new experience in seasonal homes; different, creative and original from conception, far from the typical gated community so common of the coastal beach communities of southern Lima.

Each architect will establish their architectural position about oceanfront living as a retreat, though his/her proposal may set precedent as becoming a permanent year-round residence. The architect is free to establish an intellectual theory in order to submit a real innovative solution, different from anything existing in the world.

With this in mind, ARQUITECTUM, for the POSEIDON 2009 competition, would like the architects of the world to submit their most authentic proposals as to how a Yatch/Beach Community should be. The program includes a Pier and a Yatch Club as well as 198 Homes, 17 Villas and their amenities such as Pools, a Club House, a Bar and the Boardwalk.
