udesign wallpaper competition

We are launching an exciting new competition in conjunction with udesign which aims to find wallpaper designers of the future. In association with the debut of udesign’s fantastic wallpaper customisation tool, we are searching for exciting and beautiful new wallpaper designs to be included on their site.

mydeco.com and udesign.com are both scouring design schools and talking to interiors fanatics up and down the country in order to find the best untapped talent and we want to get our community voting on their favourite entries.

Designs selected by our judges will be included on the udesign site and will pay 10% royalties on any sales made thereafter. The design which receives the most votes from our community will also receive a £750 cash prize and will have three wallpaper rolls of their design. The second prize winner will get £400.

Entry Requirements

• Vector image of the wallpaper or mural design
• Design name
• Default pattern scale (mark a section with the size it should be when printed)
• Recommended default colors (CMYK and RGB) = Roomshot (a mock up is fine) showing the design in a residential or commercial setting
• Name and contact info of designer
• Confirmation that they are the original designer and have rights to it, etc...

Tip: If the design is supposed to be a repeating pattern, the image should tile seamlessly without any horizontal or vertical offset, and be clean of extra material that needs to be manually clipped or masked.

Simply put, we should be able to take the image as given and repeat it both horizontally and vertically without any visible seams.
