Andrew Wilson is a Licensed Architect, Licensed Rigger, and Co-President of Nicholson & Galloway, in continuous operation since 1849. Join Mr. Wilson as he explores three recent restoration projects: The Guggenheim Museum, The New York Public Library, and The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The Guggenheim façade suffered from thermal problems, hundreds of cracks, and coating failures. The New York Public Library façade stonework contained thousands of loose, cracked, and filthy pieces of marble. The Cathedral experienced a catastrophic fire in 2001. We’ll see how great restoration architects could resurrect all three of these major New York landmarks. www.thenationalartsclub.org
