Christopher Hawthorne, the architecture critic for the Los Angeles Times, is at work on a book about the relationship of American architecture of the last half-century to the natural world. Hawthorne explores how the architecture of the LACMA campus fits into that history, from the 1965 William Pereira design to a new proposal by Peter Zumthor.
