The first biennial international conference on Building Enclosure Science and Technology (BEST). To be held June 10-12, 2008, at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN, hosted by Building Enclosure Council BEC-Minnesota. The conference is carrying out BETEC’s mission in exploring the advancement of the energy efficiency of buildings as well as moisture, the indoor environment and the durability of buildings.

BEST 1 will present three themes:

* Bugs, Mold, and Rot IV—Do We Know What We Don’t Know About Fungal Growth, Corrosion and Decay in Building Materials?
* Energy Efficiency In Buildings—Where Are We and Where Should We Be Going?
* Fenestration—Optimizing Glass as a Solution to Energy Concerns
