Sharon Zukin is professor of sociology at Brooklyn College and the City University Graduate Center. Her new book, Naked City: The Death and Life of Authentic Urban Places, has just been published by Oxford University Press. Her earlier books on New York are Loft Living and The Cultures of Cities. Zukin won the C. Wright Mills Award for Landscapes of Power: From Detroit to Disney World. http://www.arch.columbia.edu/event/gsapp-event/city-space-and-state-mind-new-york-1980-2010
