COVER THE WARD! Parametric Design workshop @ 3rdWARD

Cover the Ward! We invite students and professionals to attend 2 weekend workshops exploring the exciting world of Digital Design + Fabrication. The workshop will introduce participants to Parametric Design strategies and conclude with the fabrication and installation of a new canopy over the 3rd Ward courtyard. A reception will follow the completion of the project on April 25th, join the fun! The focus of the workshop will be an in depth look at Rhino’s graphical algorithm editor Grasshopper, and its real world implications. Grasshopper gives designers the power to create and manage form generators without any prior knowledge of programming or scripting. Workshop participants will be introduced to strategies for the integration of digital tools not merely as a means of production but as an impetus of design.
