Cumulus 2010: Young Creators for Better City and Better Life

The conference will explore where and how young generation of designers can, through their talents and responsibility, to improve our environment and life in a creatively way. The missions and visions of design education, design research and practice for young creators, together with the economic, political and social impacts will also be discussed during the conference. The conference will combine with Shanghai World Expo 2010 and Shanghai Biennale.

• Content: Conference/Keynote Speech/ working groups/Exhibition/ISE Shanghai Biennale/Summer School/Cumulus Award
• Cumulus will celebrate its 20th anniversary of existence
• A large International Students' Exhibition on design will be held
• Combine with International Students' Exhibition of Shanghai Biennale
• A special Cumulus prize will be announced
• An International summer school will be organized 2 weeks before the conference

Theme: Young Creators for Better Life & Better City Focus on young generation, especially their passion, innovation, responsibility and the impact to the improvement of the city and human life. The reactions of design education, research and practices are also supposed to be discussed in the conference. Sub-theme Each of the subthemes is supposed to be coordinated under an invited advisor or organization.
