DesignDC 2008 is a three-day, peer-to-peer, interactive conference and exhibit that will address how architects are using green building design principals in the Washington, D.C. urban environment including preservation, adaptive reuse and more efficient building techniques.
The event includes a keynote address by AIA’s first African-American president, Marshall Purnell. Other highlights include a new seminar for the public on how to cost effectively green your home and an expanded tradeshow. Design professionals can also enjoy informative seminars like, “25 Green Strategies You Can Use Without Asking Permission,” where participants will learn which sustainable design initiatives can be accomplished without impact to cost, schedule and program.
