Dr. Wolfgang Feist: ‘Principles of Passive House'

Lecture by the German Physicist, Inventor of this Ultra Low Energy Approach to Building Affordably Dr Feist's 'Passive House' is a practice-proven international standard for designing buildings with very low energy consumption. The Passive House standard is comfortable, sustainable and economically attractive. A Passive House is a building in which thermal comfort can be guaranteed by minimally post-heating or post-cooling the fresh air flow required for a good indoor air quality, providing an energy savings of 75% in comparison to current building standards. The resulting energy demand is so low that it is possible to meet the heating requirement using an ordinary light bulb.
