The summit's mission is explore the architectural profession’s evolution by fostering meaningful dialogue among its attendees. The event strives to empower young professionals and promote growth and leadership development. Young professionals will explore the future of the architecture industry, and be inspired to take action to produce real solutions to problems in today’s practice. The goal of the Future Now Summit is to provide a platform for dialogue among emerging professionals and future leaders, to discuss potential solutions to the architecture industry. Future Now will explore the industry’s potential to transform the built environment by engaging the public and the profession to re-imagine the image of our own city. Conversations will be focused on civic responsibility and the role of the citizen architect. We will discuss how architects emerge as leaders and continue to define new ways to contribute to society. This event will present various forms of crowd sourced ventures and will discuss the evolution of pro-active practice models of architecture. The overall goal is to advance the professional development of emerging professionals in the local, state and regional chapters. The daylong event will consist of a panel discussion, keynote, mentoring lunch and workshop. In addition to the program content, the summit will have critical networking opportunities. Featured Future Now Speakers include Kai-Uwe Bergmann, AIA, RIBA (Partner at Bjarke Ingels Group), James Ramsey (Principal at RAAD and creator of the Lowline), Erin Barnes (Co-Founder at Ioby), Illya Azaroff, AIA (Principal at +Lab Architects), and more. About Emerging New York Architects (ENYA) It is the goal of the Emerging New York Architects Committee to encourage membership, participation, and leadership in the AIANY Chapter among intern architects, young architects (licensed 10 years or less), and emerging professionals in the fields of design and construction. The committee engages NYC's diverse emerging design professionals through lectures, design competitions, and networking opportunities, with a focus on Professional Development, Design Excellence, and Public Outreach.
