The exhibition shows the winning project and lots of runners up of the international competition “In Cyprus Relax as Architects Reinterpret”. The competition received 107 entries from 29 countries and was judged by Sir Peter Cook and Odile Decq with Dickon Irwin and Marios Christodoulides standing in for Massimiliano Fuksas who was unable to attend.

THE COMPETITION WINNER

First Prize: Maxim Bataev from St. Petersberg Russia with the project entitled ‘Hotel Terrace. Universal Space’.

THE RUNNERS UP

  • Simonetta Rossetti & Thomas Bisiani from Italy with project “Take your time please, play & try”
  • Kostas Poulopoulos from Greece with the project “Dunes / Caves”
  • Johan Ericsson , Felicia Guldberg & Andreas Eklund from Sweden with the project ‘Architecture by Fiction’.

EXHIBITION AND OPENING

The exhibition will take place from 14th September to November 23rd at the gallery of the Librearia Mondadori, San Marco 1345, located on the Salizada san Moise 2 minutes from St Marks square.

The opening times are 10.00 to 1800 everyday except Sunday which will be open from 1100 to 1800.

The official opening of the Cyprus exhibition will be on Thursday September 11th at 1030 in the morning.

The opening will start with a discussion with Peter Cook as chair.
