Incremental Change: Filson and Rohrbacher at MIT Keller Gallery

Filson and Rohrbacher deliver a status report on AtFAB, a series of customizable, downloadable furniture objects designed for distributed CNC manufacturing and DIY. Incremental Change presents the furniture objects, parameter design and interface with an update on the project’s increasing global reach. AtFAB started as a demonstration of how networked digital fabrication might reduce the embedded energy in things, connect designers more directly to their markets, and enable new possibilities of self-initiated design practice. AtFAB has been downloaded by a growing community of makers worldwide and recognized in business, DIY and design publications.
