Visual and performance artist KAREN FINLEY discusses her piece “Open Hearts,” a Holocaust memorial installed in Villa Feuerlöscher in Prenning, Austria—a site of trauma and pain for several hundred children during WWII—as part of a summer 2009 exhibition on the villa, memory and resistance. Finley will be joined by curator HANNES PRIESCH and GABRIEL HIRNTHALER, Villa Feuerlöscher’s current owner. Response by MABEL O. WILSON, Columbia GSAPP
