Andrew Haner, principal of sun|tect: architecture and LEED Accredited Professional, will conduct an afternoon intensive discussing basic green design concepts, LEED credit categories, and new points of emphasis in LEED version 4. Free to register. Limited seating! The workshop could be useful to those either pursuing a LEED Green Associate credential or simply wishing to learn some basic concepts on green design. Workshop will consist of 5 hourly lectures with breaks for discussion and networking. Note on LEED (Leadership in Energy + Environmental Design): LEED is an internationally recognized rating system that acts as an industry leader is setting green design standards for the built environment. This lecture's intended audience can vary from interested community member who wishes to know a little more about the built environment to someone who is beginning their studies to take the LEED Green Associate exam and wishes to use this as a additional resource in their own course of study and preparation. - Civic Art Lab is a community storefront in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, developed in collaboration with the Bridge Street Development Corporation’s Pop-up Program. This environmental, arts, and educational initiative calls on citizens to co-produce creative and open ways to share skills and showcase recent cultural and environmental initiatives happening locally in order to amplify the diverse voices and encourage future civic engagement.
