Magnum City to Sea, Butlins Bognor Regis Resort, West Sussex, PO21 1JJ, UK
A five-day visual urbanism workshop exploring how urban photography, architecture, regeneration and planning processes, tourism, migration and arts interventions can transform social perceptions and geographical links between cities, coastal towns and surrounding regions.
Tutors include: Peter Marlow (Magnum Photos), David Kendall (Goldsmiths, University of London) and Rebecca Locke (Goldsmiths, University of London).
The workshop program will be accompanied by contextual presentations and discussions with Goldsmiths, University of London researchers and artists, including Paul Halliday, Course Leader of the international MA in Photography and Urban Cultures and Bognor Regis historian Sylvia Endacott.
The workshop will culminate in a dual-site, public outdoor projection of images produced over the four days, to be held at the historic Bognor Regis Pier, and at Butlins’ Shoreline Hotel.
