Modern Architects

Friday, Mar 26, 20103 AMEDT

246 East 58th Street New York, NY | 246 East 58th Street New York, NY

The Paul Rudolph Foundation is pleased to announce the first installment of our salon series on architects who have intervened into Modern works. Our first discussion will be led by Jared Della Valle. Partner in the architecture firm of Della Valle + Berheimer Design and founding Partner of Alloy Development, Mr. Della Valle has vast experience in design and construction. He will discuss the firm's work and focus on his efforts in updating 23 Beekman Place following an abandoned renovation. DB's work integrates many of Rudolph's intents in a contemporary context. This will be contrasted with historic documentation and vintage photographs of Paul's realization of the same space. Mr. Della Valle will present in the Modulightor duplex and be on hand to dedicate copies of his firm's monograph, Think/Make over refreshments following the talk. Introduction by Foundation Co-Director Sean Khorsandi. Doors open at 6:15PM. http://www.nycharities.org/events/eventlevels.aspx?ETID=1235
