Marianne Moore (1887–1972) was not only one of America’s most famous poets, she was also a public character of high visibility. This tour focuses on her life and poetry, and the neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill from the 1930s to the 1960s. Landmarks along the way include the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, Fort Greene Park, and Pratt Institute.
