As part of Archtober, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation will host its first ever Wikipedia edit-a-thon on Tuesday, October 7 from 2 to 8 pm to expand and enhance the topic of museum architecture on Wikipedia. The #guggathon will bring together the public and a wide range of experts to improve and generate content, helping to ensure that information about museum architecture is widely available on Wikipedia. For those unable to attend the event at the museum, remote editing is encouraged. Follow #guggathon on Twitter to track progress throughout the day and provide links to articles of interest. WHO: New and experienced editors welcome. The event will include a training session for participants who are new to Wikipedia and Wikipedia specialists will be on hand to provide basic instruction and editing support.
