On October 1, the AIA New York Chapter / Center for Architecture will take over the West 4th Street subway station with our member showcase, New York Now!

New York Now will include works of all scales and types – small, large, commercial, residential, public, private, interiors, historic preservation, engineering, landscape and urban design – presenting the scope and quality of work being done by Chapter members in New York City today. This high-visibility exhibition will offer a snapshot of where we are at this moment, and celebrate the diversity of the Chapter’s membership. AIANY has “station domination” for the month of October, and member work will be on view in both corridors of the station’s West 3rd Street exit.

There will be an opening reception in the West 3rd Street Basketball Courts on Wednesday, October 7, from 5:30-7:30 pm. This event is organized by the Center for Architecture and is a part of Architecture Week 2009. For a complete list of Architecture Week events please visit aiany.org/architectureweek.
