Many of New York’s most successful new buildings have seamlessly integrated public art with architecture, fusing the artist’s vision into the architectural design. Artist James Carpenter, architect Todd Schliemann of the Polshek Partnership and David Thurm, Vice President for Operations at The New York Times, discuss recent building projects with Jean Parker Phifer FAIA, author of the new book Public Art New York. The panel complements the “Public Art New York” exhibition of photographs by Francis Dzikowski, on view from April 17- May 9.
