Pocket parks pop up all over cities because they regenerate surrounding communities. Come hear examples of small urban parks and the design process behind them with Nancy Rottle, professor of landscape architecture, University of Washington; Charles Anderson, Cooper Hewitt National Design Award nominee and Olympic Sculpture Park landscape architect; as well as Keith McPeters of Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, whose work includes the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Campus and Seattle Civic Center Masterplan. Brice Maryman, member of Seattle’s Board of Parks Commissioners and landscape architect with SvR Design Company will be joining us as moderator for the evening. http://seattlearchitecture.org http://townhallseattle.org/seattle-architecture-foundation-places-between-spaces-seattles-pocket-parks/
