Independent, academic, and practitioner-researchers have developed their own ways of collecting, interpreting, and analyzing spatial evidence, then disseminating their discoveries and critiques. But research- and evidence-based architectural practices are underdeveloped, and the relationship between academia and architectural production is unresolved, in China as much as globally. What are these existing ways in which we conduct architectural and urban enquiries? In the context of China, how can we develop new methodologies, and integrate the research into professional practice? Participants will share their experiences with conducting research in China, and will debate the implications of research in a state of spatial flux. 中国近年发展吸引了来自业界及学界对建筑空间和城市问题的调研。体制内外的研究人员积极探索着自己搜集、阐释及分析资料的方法，并提供多样的研究成果。但是，以研究和实证为基础的建筑实践模式尚未成熟；学术研究与设计创作仍然分离。这并不仅属于当代中国的现象，也是全球各国都需要面对的问题。 有什么既有的方法可供我们进行有系统的建筑及城市调研？中国的问题能如何启发新的方法论，供我们嫁接起研究与实践中的鸿沟？参加论坛的各界人士将会分享他们的研究经验、方法及成果，并且讨论在不停变换的城市空间中进行研究的启示。
