Summer studios run Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm at the Center for Architecture in Greenwich Village. The fee for each studio week is $400. Classes are limited to 16 students.

July 27- 31   Studio III: Design/Build – Chairs
For students entering grades 9 - 12

Have you always wanted to design and build your own furniture? Here’s your chance! Students will explore the form and structure behind a variety of chair designs. Then we will follow in the footsteps of such famous designers as Frank Gehry and create our own functional furniture from corrugated cardboard. Selected designs will be featured in our annual Building Connections Exhibition in Fall 2009. (Chairs will be returned to the designers at the exhibit’s end.)
