THE PUBLIC SCHOOL (for architecture) NEW YORK offers free classes and is open to anyone. Visit the Public School website register for scheduled classes, browse class proposals, propose your own class, or offer to teach a class that has been proposed by someone else. The Public School for Architecture intends to reactivate dismantled professional networks of the New York Architectural community into a productive force that can collectively begin to make sense of current cultural, economic and technological conditions through open-ended discourse and alternative approaches to education. Join us for office hours at the Teacher’s Lounge at the Van Alen Institute on Wednesdays from 10am - 5pm to meet Public School committee members and learn more about the Public School. Courses are held in a series of itinerant classroom installations, located in transitional public spaces- lobbies, thresholds, large corridors - within established architectu
ral institutions in the city. THE PUBLIC SCHOOL (for Architecture) NEW YORK is administered by common room and the Telic Arts Exchange in collaboration with Performa.
