Following this year’s launch of the Chicago Architecture Biennial, and in anticipation of the next wave of biennials and triennials, this event features two prominent architectural curators who have been invited to discuss the conceptual agendas, curatorial strategies, selection processes, and realization challenges of their projects. In tandem with these details the conversation also will address more broadly the state of architecture biennials and triennials, their proliferation, their popularity, their discursive effects, as well as the tasks, opportunities and constraints of such large-scale curatorial enterprises.
Organized by Felicity Scott and Mark Wasiuta
With Sarah Herda, Director of the Graham Foundation and Artistic Director of the Chicago Architecture Biennial and Marina Otero Verzier, Head of Research and Development, Het Nieuwe Instituut; Chief Curator, with After Belonging Agency, Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016
