Historic preservation and sustainable design pose special challenges in the renovation and energy-efficient retrofit of classic early works of International Style modernism. The United Nations Capital Master Plan addresses complex issues of architecture, curtain wall design and technology, building systems, and landscaping with a thorough, state-of-the-art strategy and nearly $1.9 billion budget that will be presented by the project’s leadership and key consulting architects and engineers.
