The Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TO DO) takes design out of the studio and into the city, transforming the city’s downtown into a hub for all things design. As an annual Festival, TO DO is a space to engage in design that’s unpretentious, exciting, accessible, and fun. Storefronts display exciting exhibitions, galleries host immersive installations, and local and international designers spark discussion with lectures and workshops open to everyone to participate and learn. Now in its sixth year, the Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TO DO) transforms the city’s downtown into a hub for all things design. Kicking off Monday, January 18, with the TO DO Festival Party at Shopify’s headquarters, this family-friendly week-long event takes design out of the studio and into the city for the community to engage and enjoy. The majority of TO DO’s exhibitions and events are free. The 2016 Festival, presented by Keilhauer, will offer over 80 exhibitions and events across the city at over 60 venues, showcasing the work of hundreds of designers and artists. Storefronts will display exciting exhibitions, galleries will host immersive installations, and local and international designers will spark discussion with lectures and workshops open to everyone to participate and learn.
