Co-Presented by the Rice University Kinder Institute for Urban Research and Rice University Art Gallery Free Public Reception Immediately Following the Panel Complimentary Parking Available Drawing upon Ana Serrano's depiction of everyday life in a Los Angeles urban neighborhood, a panel of Houston urban scholars, artists, and community organizers will discuss some of the issues referenced in Salon of Beauty - cultural identity and expression, immigration, resiliency, informal economies, and socioeconomic mobility. A left turn will take the visitor directly into the Founder's Court Parking Lot, across the street from Sewall Hall (building 71).
